BOND is Climate Smart Certified
Bond is proud to announce that it has successfully completed the Climate Smart training and certification program for its baseline year. The Climate Smart program provides a unique combination of training, tools, and technical assistance to enable companies to measure and then reduce their GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions.
Some initiatives that have been realized or planned as a result of Bond’s commitment to further sustainability:
- Implemented the replacement of fluorescent lighting in factory with LED
- Implemented the switch to 100% recycled paper for internal use
- Planned replacement of gasoline auto fleet with hybrid (short term) and electric (long term)
Subsequent Climate Smart certifications will require Bond to measure and report on its progress and commit to further reductions and initiatives with the ultimate goal of becoming carbon neutral (via purchasing carbon offsets).
